Wedding License

The Royal Beacon Hotel is listed by Devon County Council as "an approved venue for the solemnisation of civil marriage ceremonies".

A total of two private rooms have been registered to enable us to offer the size of room best suited for the occasion; our 'Alcove' and our magnificent ballroom with beautiful chandeliers and natural daylight.

The ceremony would be conducted and organised by the Superintendent Registrar, who would be accompanied by a Registrar of Marriage. They will complete the official Register and provide the all important Marriage Certificate.

The ceremony is simple, but very pleasing and the convenience for all concerned of having the ceremony and the reception in the same building has to be experienced to be fully appreciated; transport considerations are eliminated and even the impact that inclement weather may have becomes minimal.
